Hardly can you make a difference between an instructor and a student in terms of relationship.

I would encourage them to keep it up, because this have affected me positively in my study. May God bless them for their hard work “Coudus”. (Angela Aidoo)

Is not by accident that I found myself here…….So till the end of the day I will not regret for being a “product” of New Life College. (Ezzedeen Yahaya Al-has-san)

New Life College is not a place

to learn computer only but a

 place to build one’s character.

(Abukari  Sawadatu)

I welcome everyone here: The chairman of the ceremony, our hardworking staff, invited guests and all students.

As the old saying goes, "every long journey has an end”. It is yet another graduation, and I am highly elated that I have been given the opportunity to deliver this 6th graduands’ speech. Although it is daunting, I feel both honoured and blessed to be talking to such a beautiful audience. Everything is ready and set for the hardworking and zealous final year classes to graduate and it is very important to share with you the experience of our one and a half year stay in this noble institution.

The ECG Computer and Business College is an eye opener. It has pointed some of us to a positive light for the future. I am not ashamed to state emphatically that ECG has changed the destinies of many people of whom I am no exception. The hard work of the administrative staff of the school is evident in the sound way they have continuously organized the morning devotion that over the years has changed the lives of many students. The morning devotions have been so inspirational and motivating – without doubt, these need to be continued. For the teaching staff, past students of this school are a good reflection of your hard-work. Many of them have accurately exhibited practical computer knowledge in their different fields of endeavour. I am a good example, I currently assist NHIS in data entry and it is you who have taught me that!

Notably, students of this school are diligent and disciplined, and these two attributes are very important for the future of ECG as well as for the future of the individual students. Diligence and discipline must therefore be pursued with all seriousness. The bond we establish with the school as students does not end after graduation. For that reason, we need to maintain the hard won name of ECG so that we can comfortably relate to the school anywhere we find ourselves in future. Remember the saying that “a person with the knowledge of his root is well grounded”. ECG is our root and forever shall support our growth.

We are grateful to any authority, office or individual who has supported our stay in this school. Great thanks to this wonderful audience, you have been very great, and all thanks be to Almighty God.

TESTIMONY BY SAAKA IBRAHIM LOT

It is a great time for me to share my testimony with you. I will like to use this time to share my thanks to the Almighty ALLAH for giving us yet another day. My name is Saaka Ibrahim Lot and I have been in this school for the past one and a half year and I must say that, I have no with my time in this school. This has been possible because of the patience, caring and friendly nature of the staff and the student body. I say thank you to everybody especially student of great vigilant class.

Accreditation has been and archaic song by my predecessors and yet to be attended to. I will rather concentrate on other issues, but the mentioning of it is to complement that which was stress by my predecessors and I hope and prayer that this issue will be address in the near future.

I am very happy that the staff has realized a decline in the discipline of the students and is working around the clock to avert it. Sorry but I have to criticize the staff a bit for not realizing this earlier but just until when I and colliques of vigilant class are just at the point of completion. To me this should have been discovered earlier because I think it has one way or the other affect us badly. I blame no student for this but the staff for being so mile on it.  Never the less, I plead with my honorable and able tutors to take it calm with us in getting solution to it.

To add, there is no deniable fact that this is not a Christian school, I therefore use this opportunity to suggest that words and movies that have the tendency of painting black the image of Islam should be properly thought off or previewed before addressing them to the whole student body especially during devotional hours.

I raised this issue because, some words such as “Moslems usually went to Mecca to worship the grave of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him)” and the name of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) is not in the Bible are words which never went down well with me and I think if they are avoided will greater foster unity among us in the school.

Also as I stated above, that I have no regret for being a student of this school is due to the inspirational and character building talks I happen to have taken part during devotional hours, has open up my intelligent and capabilities and I am sure that there is a greater future ahead.

To conclude, I am sure everybody has the stand with me that in every human institution, we are bound to make mistakes therefore falling victimize to others. I will like to state that I have no problem with anybody but human I do not know whether somebody differs with me and if there is any, I stand to apologize and to seek for forgiveness.

I express my sincere gratitude to the Almighty ALLAH for giving me long life and guidance during my time in this school. I also thank Director in the person of

Pastor Joshua Siu, Mr. Christian, Mr. Prosper, Madam Juliet and the entire staff not forgetting students of vigilant class and the whole student body.

I say thank you and may the Almighty bless us all.

TESTIMONY BY NAA ALBERT

As the saying goes, “an eagle does not go to the market place unless there is something there”.

I personally saw that there is something in ECG that prompts me to come to ECG.

For the actual fact, ECG has opens my mind to so many programs in computer and taught me how to formally and properly launch  a program as compare to when I was not as student of ECG. I personally enjoy most of the course that I was taken through. But unfortunately on my part, the two major courses that prompt me to come to ECG I do not enjoy them to my satisfaction. Which are Networking and Programming due to the following two reasons;

My inability to settle my schools fees on time and during these courses and more often than not I do asked to leave the class.

The other point I may say is Re shuffle of teacher form course to course has also affect me much. I got to hear of ECG through a friend who was a student of ECG called Apalikiba Jonas. He told me how good is the one teaching Networking and Programming and by name Mr. Christian. His description about the teacher and with the interest I have in Networking and Programming motivated me to come and pursue the course with the intention that, after the course will specialized in Networking and Programming.

But when it was time for Networking , I saw a different  face and that alone has made me to start losing interest in the course as if am prophet who can tell what is going to happen tomorrow. As I did Networking, when it comes to theoretical aspect of Networking I boldly deliver but intends of practical cannot deliver successfully.

My experience in programming is not fear different from what I have stated above.

I said this does not means that am demeaning some of my masters, but the truth stands still is that “different method of teaching and how experiences you had from the individual teachers”. I must confess that all the staff they are doing well but, our elders have a saying that, “experiences is the best teacher”. To make things clear, a master can use three (3) word to demonstrate something and the student will get it right and another teacher will use hundred (100) words but will not still satisfy the students .I per say was expecting that, because master Christian as someone who have setting up Networks and writing software to companies is equipped with vast knowledge and experience should have been the right person to handle those two areas for the students to enjoy it. I will suggest when a master is change from one course to another course must be guided by the master who was handling the course before to enable the school and the students to enjoy the lessons.

On the other hand, will like to suggest and appeal to Director and his entire staff if they can come together as solid foundation by implementing the following suggestions.

The first and foremost thing I will like to suggest is the course upgrade. It will do us good if and only if Office 2003 will be replace with Office 2007or Office 20l0 and Dreamweaver to take place of HTML so that any one passing through the hands of ECG should be able create dynamic web pages after the course.

The second point of my appeal is invitation of pass students to give testimonies not been gender balance. In fact if I were a lady I will feel like I have no feature by been a student. Simple because people who come to testify the goodness of ECG are mainly men meanwhile the school is made up of boys and girls. I therefore, suggest Director should invite ladies who are working and are pass students to give hope to our girls.

My third appeal is a committee made up of both staff and students must be formed in the school mainly to  take care of graduation planning .this committee should be responsible for drawing graduation plans like how to contribute, how to managed the accounts of the contributed amount and what to use it for.

In as nutshell, I will first of all give thanks to the Almighty GOD for seeing me through this course successfully.

My second thanks goes to our indefatigable director and hardworking staff for their tremendous work and their kind service they render to me as a student of ECG. More especially director, we call you director but I will personally say you a father to the whole student body especially I in particular. Your Sunday Bible studies have made me to know deep in Bible. Because I was the type that used to read Bible but since I started with the Bible studies I now understand that is good to study the Bible than reading the Bible.  In short, director note that no man on earth can reward you on earth, your reward is in Heaven because of your great work in Ghana and Africa at large.

GOD blesses you and your family all.

Thank you.

OSMAN ABDUL RAZAK

I like the school because the environment is good and the Director and all the staff are kind and God fearing.

It is one beautiful thing in the school here is that a stranger comes to the school cannot differentiate the students and masters. This shows that we are all in one family.

Keeping fit is also another thing I enjoyed on the campus. I must say those moments with the keep fit club members in the Saturday morning were memorable.

My appeal or suggestion is that the school should try and accredit or affiliate to any of the universities which offer computer science.

Sei Daniel (Vigilant class)

I like to plead with the school to try her best to accredit the school. Should that be done the school will be one of the best IT school in Ghana.
